JFD, an old Frenchman, has fallen in love with Kenya 40 years ago, and spent a good part of his career working in Africa.

After a very painful divorce, he moved to Oletukat.

Jackson who is with JFD, director of the Company Stern Seagal which owns the ranch, had made him discover the site. They built a house as well as bungalows and tents for a boutique size tourism. The Company leased and registered a fairly large track of land from landowners related to Jackson family first, and then others, with the idea to develop a Conservancy.

Jackson is supervising the activities of the ranch and is its voice.

Nelson is our driver guide, and also a good cook!

We also have a team of 12 people, either land owners themselves or from the community around, working on the protection of the Conservancy, but also they opened kilometers of trails for cars and/or for humans, on a land where only cows and buffalos trails existed.

JF as he is called, has become very concerned with environmental issues. He decided that the best way to act was to be on the ground and be influential at that level.

GRAND KOUDOU VILLA ACCOMMONDATION

We offer to our guests at Grand Koudou Villa:

Three bungalows of about 25m2 each, equipped with a double bed and a single bed, plus a bathroom with hot water shower, washbasin, and toilet. The 3 bungalows have a nice view over the canyon where the river flows and a private view point and sitting room to enjoy the wilderness.
Two fairly large tents are sharing a washroom with hot water shower and separate toilet, 10 to 15 meters away.

Electricity is coming from solar panels so hair driers cannot be used.
